What a day!

Man, I'm exhausted. Just got back from Bendigo after playing 4 games of futsal and coaching 3. We won 3 of our games but the team I coach only won 1. Oh well. I go back tomorrow to play 3 more games. Hopefully we can win those and go to the finals.

How to Jailbreak and get Installous (In a nutshell)

OK guys, this post is to help you with your jailbreaking questions. To jailbreak use a program called Blackra1n. It is 100% free and so is every other legit jailbreaking/unlocking tool. Don't pay for one. Like I said, use blackra1n (available from blackra1n.com) or use SpiritJB if you are on the 3.1.3 firmware. (Get SpiritJB with a simple Google search). Save the necessary program somewhere on your computer and, when your iPhone is plugged in, run the program and click either Jailbreak or Make It Ra1n. Once jailbroken, open your iPhone and find a program called Cydia. This is a brown icon with a box (or something) on it. Open it and go along with the pop ups. Be patient. When finally done, go to manage (down the bottom) then "Sources" then "edit" in top right corner, then "add" in top left corner and type the following into the pop up: http://cydia.hackulo.us/
Click "Add anyway" when necessary and let it download. When finished, go to "Search" (down the bottom) and type in "Installous". Download that by clicking "Install" then "Confirm", both in top right corner. Once that has downloaded, press "Return to Cydia" and press the home button. Voila, you now have Installous, a free app store. Enjoy. If you have trouble with Installous, there are plenty of YouTube video tutorials. You can NOT jailbreak if on 4.0 firmware, and I recommend syncing with iTunes before jailbreaking. I am not responsible if something on your iPhone fucks up. Jailbreaking voids your warranty. You've been warned. It IS possible to unjailbreak via a restore. Again, look up on YouTube.

World Cup Predictions

How the hell did Italy get elimnated in the Group Stages? This is one messed up World Cup. For those that still do not know, I am talking about the FIFA World Cup being held this year in South Africa. Unfortunately Australia was put in a group with Germany who we lost to 4-0 and Serbia, who are also relatively good. We did manage to beat Serbia though, however after the 4 nil loss to Germany, we had to play catch-up for the rest of the Group Stage. Germany and Ghana managed to get through in our group, while our next-door neighbours New Zealand drew with Italy. How the hell did they manage that?! Oh well, better luck in 2014 Australia. My predictions for the Winner's is going to have to be Spain. Torres, Villa, Fabregas, Puyol and Casillas to name a few powerhouses in their line-up. Can't wait to watch their game against Portugal on Thursday (?). Should be good. Let me know who you think could take home the trophy.

4.0 firmware

Well, Apple has just released a new iOS firmware. 4.0 is finally here. I've looked up videos on YouTube and taken a look. Now, me being jailbroken and all, I don't really need to upgrade, especially seeing as there is no current jailbreak for the firmware yet. At least not for 3GS's. But there are some things I have noticed that I like. The ability to edit playlists right there on your iPhone for instance is pretty cool. And there multi-tasking, in my opinion, is more convenient than the backgrounding you can get from Cydia. However, things like changing the wallpaper is not that good seeing as if you jailbreak, you can customise your whole theme. Let me know what you think of Apple's latest update.

Well, I think this is pretty cool. I just downloaded an app called "Blog with iBlogger" from an app you can get through jailbreaking for free instead of paying the app stores price of 13 bucks! Not a bad deal I reckon. I got a futsal tournament I'm competing in tomorrow. Not only playing but coaching. It's gonna be hectic!

Why wouldn't you jailbreak?

Wow. Just jailbroke my iPhone (32GB 3GS) with a program called Spirit. I have had my iPhone for a couple of months now, and was a bit hesitant to jailbreak, but it's so easy and there is actually no risk at all. (OK, there might be a slight risk, but it's easily fixed). I have a wicked theme, heaps of games that total over $100 but which I got for free, and heaps of other customisations. For those who have an iPod Tocuh or iPhone, I recommend jailbreaking it. I think you can even jailbreak an iPad. As long as your not on the new iOS 4.0 firmware released yesterday (I think) then you can jailbreak.
